DIG NKR visits Kupwara, chairs officers meeting

Kupwara: To review the Security Scenario of the District, Dy. Inspector-General of Police NKR, Sujit Kumar, visited District Kupwara today, chaired a meeting with Police officers and held Darbar with Jawans.

The DIG NKR was received by SSP Kupwara, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, and was presented ceremonial guard of honour on his arrival at DPO Kupwara.

During his visit, the DIG NKR chaired security review meeting with Police officers to assess the law & order situation in the district. DIG NKR appreciated the role of Kupwara Police for their Professionalism in maintaining Peace and Public order in the district and keeping the criminal activities under check.

DIG NKR also hailed the role of Kupwara Police in combating Drug Menace in the District and exhorted upon the officers to remain cautious and alert to maintain peaceful atmosphere in the district as anti-national elements are making efforts to disturb it.

DIG NKR said that the synergy among the forces is the key to thwart any nefarious designs of the enemies of the nation.

The DIG NKR held darbar with jawans and heard their grievances patiently and assured their genuine grievances will be redressed. He also said that the stringent action will be taken against the elements found involved in unlawful activities.DIG NKR directed the officers to maintain close liaison with the public for maintenance of peace and order.

The meeting was attended by SSP Kupwara, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, ASP Kupwara Raja Zohaib DySP Hqrs Kupwara, and DySP DAR DPL Kupwara.
