Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 101 fresh cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, which took the cumulative tally to 3,24,647, while no fresh death was reported in the Union Territory in the last 24 hours, officials said.

Out of the fresh cases, 84 were reported from Kashmir and 17 from the Jammu division, they said.

Srinagar district recorded the highest number of 35 cases followed by 16 cases in Budgam district, the officials said.

Moreover, 119 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 86 from Kashmir and 33 from Jammu division, they said, adding that so far 63.95 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the officials said there were 44 confirmed cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) in the union territory.

According to the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus (COVID-19), out of 3,24,647 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 1,060 are active positive cases across the UT, while 3,19,183 have recovered and 4,404 have died – 2,241 in Kashmir and 2,163 in Jammu division.
