Samoon reviews functioning of ITIs, IMCs of Kashmir division

Srinagar: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon, today chaired a meeting to review functioning of ITIs and Institute Management Committees (IMCs) of Kashmir division.

The meeting was attended by Nazim Zai Khan, Secretary in Skill Development Department, Sudershan Kumar, Director Skill Development Department, Kuldip Kumar Sapolia, Additional Secretary Skill Development Department, Sapna Slathia, Joint Director Planning, G M Bhat, Joint Director ITI while Principals/Superintendents of ITls of Kashmir division alongwith Chairman and members of IMCs of ITls participated online.

It was decided in the meeting that all IMCs shall submit IDPs of their respective ITIs so that same are placed in the next State Steering Committee meeting likely to be held in the first week of September, 2021.

Principal Secretary directed the concerned to ensure that IMC related seats are filled in all ITls. He also asked the Superintendents of ITIs to provide list of placements of pass outs of their respective institutes made during the last 5 years.

He asked the concerned for constitution of committees at district level to be headed by Principals of respective government polytechnics with members from ITls for 100 per cent utilization of seats in Polytechnics.
