Srinagar: The Higher Education Department (HED) has asked its faculty members not to participate in Doordarshan and All India Radio programmes without obtaining prior permission.
“It has been brought to the notice of Higher Education Department that certain faculty members are participating in Doordarshan and All India Radio programmes instead of performing their legitimate duties, which is a stark violation of rules and standing instructions of the government issued from time to time. The matter has been viewed seriously,” a communiqué of the department read.
The department impressed upon all the faculty members to desist from this practice and ensure that they do not to participate in such programmes without prior permission of the department.
The department warned that non compliance shall be construed as willful insubordination and action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against the defaulter.
