Baseer Khan e-inaugurates 6.3 MVA, 33/11 KV sub-station at Rajouri

Srinagar: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan, today e-inaugurated 6.3 MVA, 33/11 KV sub-station at Noniyal, Nowshera in Rajouri district.

The power distribution project completed under Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) came up at a total cost of Rs. 2.89 crore and will benefit approximately 1000 to 1200 domestic and commercial consumers.

While dedicating the sub-station to the public, Advisor said that the commissioning of Noniyal station has addressed a long pending demand of the people and will help in a big way to streamline transmission and distribution of power in the district.

Advisor appreciated the officers for putting in their efforts towards speedy completion of the project saying that it is firm commitment of present dispensation that the people of the UT get 24×7 quality electricity. He said that the government is aiming to achieve larger goal of self-sufficiency in power sector and stressed on putting concerted efforts towards achieving target of providing reliable power supply to consumers.

The advisor said that 6 power projects are in different stages of completion in Jammu division which are expected to be completed by the end of November this year. He said that Lieutenant Governor has set timelines for each project that need to be followed in letter and spirit.
