VC Cluster University reviews functioning of IASE Srinagar

Srinagar: The Vice Chancellor (VC) Cluster University, Prof. (Dr) Qayyum Hussain, today visited Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) to review its functioning.

Speaking on the occasion, the VC said that the academic up-gradation of the college shall be his priority.

He emphasised on starting a B.ed course through distance mode, besides introduction of skill development, professional, vocational and other job oriented courses by Cluster University.

He said all round development of a child should be the prime focus and discussed some special committees like DSW for guidance and counseling of the students enrolled besides outgoing students of Cluster University.

The VC mentioned sought the cooperation from all the faculty members adding that the Cluster University will be on top if we all work in coordination and cohesion.

Earlier, the VC was welcomed by Principal, Prof Ruhi Kanth, faculty and other staff members of the college.

The Principal of the college presented the welcome address and gave a detailed presentation about the college. She also discussed all the academic, co-curricular and extracurricular activities performed by the college.

Prof. Kant briefed the VC about the courses offered by the institution and different committees working in the college under different heads. And besides this she also highlighted the other research activities taking place in the institution.

Later, Prof. (Dr.) Qayyum Hussain released the journal of the college ‘Inquiry’.

The VC also visited library, Smart classrooms, ECCE lab, e-Studio and other sections of the colleges and appreciated the work. He suggested some new ideas and plans for the development of college.
