364 fresh COVID-19 cases, 7 more deaths recorded in J&K

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday recorded 364 fresh COVID-19 cases that took its cumulative infection tally to 3,15,662 while seven more fatalities pushed the death toll to 4,323, officials said.

Of the fresh cases, 215 were reported from Kashmir Valley and 149 were reported from the Jammu division of the union territory, they said.

Srinagar district recorded the highest number of fresh cases at 67, followed by 45 in Reasi.

Of the seven fresh COVID-19 deaths, four were reported from Kashmir and three from Jammu division, officials said.

They also said, 572 more COVID-19 patients have been recovered and have been discharged from various hospitals including 376 from Kashmir and 186 from Jammu division during the past 24 hours.

They said there are 29 mucormycosis (black fungus) cases in the union territory. No fresh case has been reported since last evening.

According to the daily media bulletin on novel coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 3,15,662 positive cases recorded cumulatively thus far, currently there are 4,600 are active positive cases across J&K, while as 3,06,739 persons have recovered so far and 4,323 have died – 2,218 in Kashmir and 2,105 in Jammu division.
