Sopore: A 22-year-old youth from Bomai area of Sopore was died under mysterious circumstances in Chandigarh, Punjab in the intervening night of 25-26 June, family said on Sunday.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Amir Hassan Mir, a BSc Nursing student, and was doing internship in GMC Chandigarh was found dead at his hostel.
His family alleged that he has been murdered, saying that Amir was found dead at apartment by one of his colleagues at around 1 am on 25 June following which he informed his family about it.
After post mortem and other legal formalities by the police, the body was later handed over to his family, which brought it here for last rites.
The family has demanded a thorough investigation into the incident. (KNO)
