Rajouri girl shines in national level extempore speech competition

Srinagar: A student of Himalayan Degree College Rajouri has bagged the first rank in Jammu and Kashmir and second in the National level competition of extempore speech.

The student Ayesha Kouser, daughter of Ghulam Mustafa who is presently studying in BA 2nd Semester has brought laurels for her institution as well as the entire Pir Panjal range by exhibiting exceptional performance in an All India level extempore speech competition.

The competition, on the topic “Politics and Public Administration”, was organised in a virtual mode by Lovely Professional University Punjab.

Kouser outshined scores of participants from all over the country and got Ist position in UT of Jammu and Kashmir and 2nd position in the country. She has received appreciation from academic and social circles from across the country for her phenomenal performance.

The college management also extended its congratulations to Kousar and announced a medal of excellence, a citation and other awards to be presented to her shortly in a ceremony.

Besides, having an excellent academic career Kousar is preparing for UPSC exam and is currently engaged in her studies to achieve the goal.

Talking to Kashmir Images, Kousar says that she has never been afraid of competing. “Whenever I get a chance to take part in a competition, I never miss it as I personally believe that participation is the first step towards success,” says Kousar.

“My message to all the youngsters out there is that one should not worry about the outcome of a competition but we should understand that our participation will make us more prepared and take us closer to success,” she adds.
