Farooq Khan pays homage to Milkha Singh

Srinagar: Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan, today paid his homage to Flying Sikh, Milkha Singh on his Kirtan/Antim Ardas through his emissary.

The Advisor who is also incharge of Youth Services & Sports department sent his words of affection and benevolence to the family through his emissary Ranjit Singh, Assistant Labour Commissioner of J&K Government stationed at Chandigarh.

The emissary participated in the Kirtan and Antim Ardas organized by the family of the deceased athlete at Gurudwara Sahib, Sector 8, Chandigarh. The emissary prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul besides showing solidarity with the family as per the aspirations of the Advisor.

The Advisor was all praise for this international athlete who he termed as an inspiration for all young and old. He also maintained that the legendary athlete would continue inspiring generations both nationally and outside the country.

The emissary participated in the hour-long ritual at the Gurudwara and prayed as per the religious practice conducted on the occasion.
