Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded 362 fresh cases of coronavirus, taking the cumulative infection tally to 3,12,156, while 10 more deaths pushed the death toll to 4,262, officials said.

Of the new cases, 261 were reported from Kashmir and 101 were from Jammu division of the union territory, they said.

Srinagar district recorded the highest of 79 cases, followed by 44 in Anantnag district.

About the fresh deaths, officials said seven were reported from Kashmir and three from Jammu division.

They also said 1,224 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged from various hospitals, during past 24 hours, including 960 from Kashmir and 264 from Jammu division.

Meanwhile, there were 25 confirmed cases of Mucormycosis (black fungus) in the union territory as one fresh case was reported since last evening, they said.

The officials also said that so far 79.31 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the daily media bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 3,12,156 positive cases recorded cumulatively so far, currently there are 7,759 active positive cases across J&K, while 3,00,135 have recovered and 4,262 have died — 2188 in Kashmir and 2074 in Jammu division.

The bulletin further said that out of 95,37,386 test results available, 92,25,230 samples have tested negative till 21st June, 2021.

Till date 23,24,018 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 35,242 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by the government, 7,759 in isolation and 1,92,276 in home surveillance while as 20,84,479 persons have completed their surveillance period, the bulletin informed.
