Principal Secretary, while appreciating the establishment of this only 10-meter shooting range in Kashmir, said that sport is like a meditation that demands mental stability and physical discipline. If you really want to hone this skill as a professional, you need to get into a well-facilitated shooting range available in your city, he asserted.

Principal Secretary assured that all possibilities would be explored to raise three to four shooting ranges of international standard for the youth of J&K enabling them to excel at the international level in this beautiful sport.

Pertinently, the shooting range has all the modern equipments for 10-meter air rifle and 10-meter air pistol events.

District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Srinagar, Balbir Singh, informed that a first of its kind basic training camp will be started within a few days for students and the shooting range shall be utilized for the upliftment of this sport in the district and across the valley as well.
