Make adequate arrangements for Kheer Bhawani festival: NC to admin

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary, Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, on Thursday urged the divisional administration to make adequate arrangements for the forthcoming Kheer Bhawani festival at Ganderbal.

The Party General Secretary in a statement said that the divisional administration is duty-bound to provide all facilities to the devotees on the occasion. District President Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar visited the temple premises and interacted with the organizers.

On the occasion, he made an appeal to the administration to live-stream Puja/Aarti owing to Covid 19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, senior leader and State Secretary Sakina Itoo, former MLA and district President Kulgam Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi and Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar have asked the district administration to ensure proper arrangements for Kheer Bhawani Mela at Manzgam and Devsar.

Party district president Kupwara Qaisar Jamsheed Lone also urged the district administration to provide basic and effective amenities including transport facility to devotees visiting Kheer Bawani Astapan at Ticker Kupwara. NC’s district president Anantnag Altaf Kaloo has also urged the district administration Anantnag to provide all possible arrangements for the smooth conduct of Kheer Bawani mela in various astapans in Anantnag. The leaders impressed upon the devotees to abide by the Covid-19 Sops and health advisories from administration in view of the ongoing crises induced by Covid-19.
