DC Srinagar inaugurates X-Ray Unit at Govt Unani Hospital Shalteng

SRINAGAR: The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today visited Government Unani Hospital Shalteng and took stock of its functioning.

On the occasion, the DC inaugurated X-Ray Unit in the hospital which fulfilled the long pending demand of the local population and the hospital management.

He also went around various sections of the hospital and took stock of their functioning

While interacting with the Medical and Paramedical staff, the DC enquired about the facilities being provided to the patients. He urged them to discharge their professional duties with added zeal and dedication to ensure better healthcare facilities to the patients.

The DC directed the hospital authorities to ensure cleanliness in and around hospital besides strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs.

The DC asked the Medical Superintendent of the hospital to undertake necessary work for face lifting of the hospital. He also asked him to submit a proposal for acquisition of additional land for construction of residential quarters for hospital staff.

The DC said that Government has kept available alternate choice of treatment facilities for patients. He said patients can opt for alternate treatment as AYUSH treatment has long term benefits.

The Deputy Director AYUSH, Dr, Hyder Shah, Medical Superintendent Government Unani Hospital, Dr Farooq, Chief Planning Officer Srinagar, Mohammed Yaseen Lone and other concerned were present on the occasion.
