Srinagar: Security forces on Tuesday launched a search operation in the hilly area between Gupkar and Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar after “suspicious movement” was observed in the area, sources said.
Quoting the sources, news agency KNT reported that the searches were launched by soldiers from 20 Rashtriya Rifles in the wee hours today near Baloo Post.
However, nothing suspicious could be found during the searches when reports last came in, sources said.
Srinagar based spokesperson of the Army could not be contacted for comments.
