Srinagar: A daily-wager of Power Development Department (PDD) was injured after suffering electric shock in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, officials said.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that a PDD daily-wager identified as Ashiq Hussain Khan, son of Mohammad Subhan Khan of Waghama, received an electric shock when he came in contact with a live wire at Tulkhan locality while repairing a high-voltage line.
Khan was injured due to the electric shock, the official said, adding that he was taken to GMC Anantnag wherefrom doctors referred him to Srinagar’s SMHS Hospital in serious condition.
