Srinagar: An Army man has allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself dead with his service rifle at Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar.
Officials told Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a Sepoy namely Navin Kumar belt number 14877688P, son of Jai Prakash of Bhagwanpur Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh of 9 RR has committed suicide by his service rifle at R centre Convey Ground Pandrathan Pantha Chowk.
However, they said that it was not immediately known as to what prompted him to take this extreme step, saying that investigation has been started in this regard. (KNO)
