Army technicians help in restoration of oxygen generation plant

Srinagar: Army on Thursday said that its technicians have helped the civil administration in restoring an oxygen generation plant at Rangreth.

In a press release here, Army said an oxygen plant of Enn Dee Gases at Rangreth, having capacity of filling 700 cylinders per day, was lying defunct for the last five years.

On being requested by the civil administration, Chinar Corps mobilised its resources to transport the required spare parts from Mumbai, which reached within just two days by an Indian Air Force plane.

The moment necessary spares arrived at the plant, team of technicians from Corps Zone Workshop, Rangreth along with civil technicians worked tirelessly to make the plant serviceable within four days, the press release said.
