Uri: At least twenty three families have been shifted to safer places after rockslide and shooting stones hit Chadya Ward number 4 of Zamoorpatan Uri.

Sarpanch Noor Hussain Shah of Zamoorpatan told Kashmir Images that 23 families have been shifted to nearby houses as heavy landslide and shooting stones are hitting the village since last night.

“In past few years, so many houses were partially damaged due to the shooting stones and landslides mostly during wet weather,” he said.

He appealed Lt. Governer and DC Baramulla to take necessary steps to address the problem.

“The administration helped shift some families to other safer places and also gave food to the poor families,” he added.
