Chinar Corps Commander attends Eid-ul-Fitr Namaz with soldiers of Badami Bagh Cantonment

Srinagar: Lt Gen DP Pandey, GOC Chinar Corps attended the Eid-ul-Fitr Namaz with soldiers of Badami Bagh Cantonment based Chinar Corps and its units today, said a defence spokesperson.

“The GOC conveyed his best wishes to all the soldiers and their families on the pious occasion of Eid and complimented them on their continued professional work in the testing times of COVID-19 pandemic. He requested all present to join him to pray for the wellbeing of the entire mankind in these trying times of COVID,” the spokesperson said.

“Speaking on this occasion, the GOC appealed to all present to cooperate and support the UT administration, specially the medical fraternity to fight the pandemic, while continuing adherence to the precautions being advised by the experts for the greater good of the society,” he said.

“He expressed his happiness for an opportunity to share this pious moment with the dedicated soldiers of the Chinar Corps, who epitomize the core values of our Nation of unity in diversity, brotherhood and secularism,” he added.
