Div Com reviews preparations for Darbar Move opening

SRINAGAR: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, today visited Civil Secretariat, Srinagar to take stock of arrangements/preparations for the smooth functioning of Darbar Move, opening partially here on Tuesday, May 11.

During the visit, the Div Com stressed on adopting appropriate Covid behaviour and instructed Director Health Services Kashmir to facilitate proper screening, testing and vaccination of employees at the Civil Secretariat.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz Assad, Commissioner SMC, Divisional heads of concerned departments and officers from police department were also present.

Taking the status of progress of renovation works, the Div Com emphasized on making fool-proof arrangements in and around the premises besides adequate Covid-19 related measures are taken for smooth opening and functioning of the offices.

He stressed on speedy repairing, painting, whitewashing, fixing of potholes on roads, landscaping and other works to be expedited for timely completion.

He also reviewed the security measures and instructed concerned to install a Y-angle fence at all identified patches on the boundary wall of the secretariat.

The Div Com further stressed on facilitating proper transport arrangements and ensuring comfortable accommodation to the employees, besides facilities like potable water, power, ration, sanitation and other required facilities are made available at all offices.

He exhorted upon speedy completion of beautification works in Srinagar City, including street lights installation and other works are also completed in a time bound manner.

He reiterated that all arrangements are put in place and all facilities are provided to the employees at all move offices for their smooth functioning.
