Ladakh records 145 fresh COVID-19 cases

Leh:  Ladakh”s COVID-19 caseload has increased to 13,502 as 145 more people tested positive for the disease in the union territory, officials said on Tuesday.

Of the fresh cases reported the previous day, 138 were from Leh and seven from Kargil, they said.

According to the officials, the number of active cases in Ladakh stands at 1,857 — 1,758 in Leh and 99 in Kargil.

So far, 138 people — 94 in Leh and 44 in Kargil — have died due to COVID-19.

As many as 313 coronavirus patients — 306 in Leh and seven in Kargil — were discharged after successful treatment the previous day. With this, the number of cured persons stands at 11,505, which accounts for over 84 per cent of the total cases, the officials said.
