VC KVIB inspects units established under PMEGP, JKREGP schemes at Reasi

REASI: Vice Chairperson (VC) J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat today visited district Reasi and inspected various units established under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) here.

The Vice Chairperson was accompanied by Secretary,  KVIB, Rashid Ahmad Qadri, Dy CEO KVIB (Administration), Masroor Ahmad Shah, District Officer KVIB, Reasi, Dr. Sandeep Kotwal and other senior officers.

Dr. Hina Shafi during the visit held several contact/interaction programmes in the surrounding areas of Reasi & Katra. She urged the unemployed educated youths of the area to avail benefits of schemes being implemented by KVIB.

Later, Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat inaugurated and inspected several KVIB units financed under JKREGP and PMEGP schemes. These include trades of service station, Furniture, Readymade Garments, Beauty Parlours, Tent House, Mobile repairing shops etc.

On the occasion, it was informed that J&K KVIB under PMEGP during the year 2020-21 against the physical targets of 39 units and financial targets of Rs.117.06 lacs has sanctioned Margin Money amounting to Rs. 104.70 lacs to 55 units.

Similarly, against the targets of 33 number of units under JKREGP involving Margin Money of Rs. 66.00 lacs, 46 numbers of units amounting to Rs 96.60 lacs Margin Money have been sanctioned till date in District Reasi.
