15 chicken shops sealed for violating legal norms in Baramulla

Baramulla: Tehsildar Baramulla, Safiya Abdullah, along with other officials conducted an extensive market inspection on Thursday.

The inspection was conducted to check the supply and stock position of essential commodities in the wake of the holy month of Ramadhan.

During the inspection, 15 chicken shops were sealed for violating the govt notified rules and regulations.

The Tehsildar warned all the traders and other shopkeepers to abide by the requisite rules and regulations. She said that any kind of laxity won’t be tolerated in the larger public interest adding that strict legal action shall be taken against the violators of govt notified norms and regulations.

It is pertinent to mention that govt has fixed the rate of mutton as Rs 535/kg without offal and Rs 490/kg with 100 grams of offal. Similarly, Rs 125 was fixed for 1 kg of boiler chicken, Rs 79/kg for layer chicken and Rs 110/kg for parent chicken.
