Karnah Premier League culminates, Kandi Galaxy Green emerges winner

KARNAH: The Karnah Premier League, a 20-20 format super cricketing event culminated here on Sunday at Chhamkot, Karnah.
The month-long sporting championship started on March 2nd with the participation of 32 teams from Karnah besides a team each of Indian Army, J&K Police and State Bank of India.
Played out on a knock-out basis, the finals of the league were played here between J&K Police XI and Kandi Galaxy Green. In the competitive match, J&K Police won the toss and elected to bat. Playing first J&K Police scored 195 runs. Kandi Galaxy Green chasing a target of 196 runs started on a good note. However, due to the interruption caused by the rains during the match, the outcome of the finals was decided on the basis of “bowl out”.In the bowl out, Kandi Galaxy Green outdid J&K Police XI and emerged as the winner.
After the finals, in the glittering award presentation ceremony Brig SP Consul, Commander Shakti Vijay Brigade awarded the champions, Kandi Galaxy Green with the winners trophy.
Besides Runners Up trophy and individual prizes were also awarded to the individuals by Mir Junaid, President J&K Workers Party and Abid Nabi, an internationally acclaimed Cricketer.
