ANANTNAG: The Managing Director (MD) Kashmir Power Development Corporation Limited (KPDCL) Dr. Basharat Qayoom today Convened a meeting at Dak Bungalow Anantnag and reviewed the preparedness for the Holy month of Ramadhan.

During the meeting energy accounting, revenue realization during the FY 2020-21, inspection and Safety measures was also discussed.

At the outset, the MD took a detailed review of the Power scenario in both Circles. He stressed upon improving power supply during the upcoming Holy month of Ramadhan and implementing directions of LG in letter and spirit.

In addition, the Revenue realization of all Subdivisions was discussed threadbare and the MD asked the concerned heads to continue the momentum so as to achieve set revenue targets in given time frame.

Further all Divisional heads were directed to ensure smooth supply of electricity and necessary steps be taken for the same.

The Executive Engineers expressed confidence in being able to supply curtailment free schedule for Sehri and Iftaar times in view of expected fall in demand due to improvement in weather except for places constrained by system infrastructure.

The Executive Engineers of all Divisions also apprised the chair about the revenue collected against the set targets of all Subdivisions pertaining to Bijbehara and Pulwama Circles.

Further the MD impressed upon the safety of manpower and directed all Engineers to ensure the safety of field workers and provide them all necessary safety gears. The Engineers were asked to conduct demonstrations regarding usage and implementation of safety equipments.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent Engineers of O&M Circle Bijbehara and Pulwama, All Executive Engineers of Electric Division Anantnag, Kulgam, Bijbehara, Shopian, Awantipora and Pulwama, Executive Engineers of STD Pulwama and Bijbehara, AEEs of all Subdivisions of Circle Pulwama and Bijbehara.
