Srinagar: A man was arrested for allegedly trying to snatch the rifle of a guard at a J&K Bank’s branch in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday, a police official said.
The incident took place at the bank’s Imamsahab branch in the afternoon, he said.
Nadish Ahmad tried to snatch a 12 bore rifle from the bank’s guard but timely action by police, foiled the bid, the official said.
He was arrested on the spot and is being questioned at a police station, he said.
