Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar on Saturday presided over a meeting here at party headquarters Nawa e Subha where he led the party functionaries in praying for speedy recovery and wellbeing of Party President and Member of Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah, who has been moved to hospital for better monitoring after testing COVID-19 positive.

Among others Party MP Muhammad Akbar Lone, Irfan Shah, Peer Afaq Ahmed, Showkat Mir, Syed Tauqeer Ahmed, Dr Sajad Uri,  Imran Nabi Dar, Ahsan Pardesi, Mudassir Shahmiri, Jahangir Yaqoob Wani, JS Azad were present. The functionaries supplicated for speedy recovery and wellbeing of Party President and expressed solidarity with the party Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah and the family at this difficult time.

 On the occasion, the party General Secretary thanked everyone for their good wishes and prayers for the quick recovery of Dr Farooq Abdullah Sahib. “I express my earnest gratitude to all socio-political, religious leaders and people from all walks of life for their good wishes for the speedy recovery of Dr. Farooq Sahib from COVID-19.  The get-well wishes and prayers that have been pouring in from across the country and abroad have comforted us all at this difficult time. I also take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the workers, party functionaries and people for holding special prayers for the speedy recovery of Dr Sahib at various prominent shrines and mosques,” he said.

On the occasion, Sagar advised the party functionaries and workers to exercise caution and refrain from visiting hospitals where the party president has been hospitalized. He asked the party functionaries and workers to hold prayers for fast recovery of the party president at their respective places. He said humanity is undergoing the worst ever public health nightmare making it imperative for everyone to abide by COVID-19 protocol and other health advisories of concerned departments.

Among others Party’s MPs Hasnain Masoodi, Provincial Presidents Nasir Aslam Wani, Devender Singh Rana, Senior leaders Mian Altaf Ahmed, Abdul Rahim Rather, Muhammad Shafi Uri, Sakina Itoo, Mubarak Gul, Shameema Firdous, Nazir Gurezi, Zonal heads Dr. Bashir Ahmed Veeri, Ali Muhammad Dar, Mohammad Syed Akhoon, district Presidents Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi, Javed Dar, GR Naaz, Altaf Ahmad Wani, Qaiser Jamsheed Lone, Ishfaq Jabbar, G M Mir, AA Dar, Tanvir Sadiq, Salman Ali Sagar, Sara Hayat Shah, Khalid Najeeb Suharwardhy, Sajad Kitchloo, former MP Sharief Ud Din Shariq, Javed Rana, Aijaz Jan, Satwant Kour Dogra, G Q Pardesi, Dr Sameer Koul, Er. Sabiya Qadri, Shabir Ahmad, Ghulam Nabi Bhat, Women’s Wing, YNC, Minority and Legal Cell members have also prayed for the fast recovery of Party President and the wellbeing of his family.
