23 teams participating in Harwan Cricket League auctioning

SRINAGAR. To promote cricket sports in district Srinagar, the 3rd edition of Harwan Cricket League is commencing from next month in which 23 teams from Srinagar and Ganderbal districts are participating.

The championship will be played at Syed Shah Qasim memorial cricket ground Chondpora Harwan.

In this connection, the hiring of players was held here today at a local hotel in which about 600 players participated through online and offline mode.

on this occasion the management of HCL said that adequate arrangements are being made during this championship. The president HCL, Dr Abdul Rasheed, said that the purpose of holding the event is to give a chance to budding players to exhibit their talent besides honing their skills. He said that new players will one day represent Kashmir in national-level competitions.

The other speakers while highlighting the endeavours of HCL said that keeping youth busy in sports activities will go a long way in keeping them away from the emerging menace of drug addiction.

Among others, Deputy Director Information M. A Khan, senior functionaries of HCL which included Pir Bilal Ahmad, Tahir Mukhdomi Bilal Ahmad Rather were also present on this occasion.
