Baramulla: Director Industries and Commerce department Kashmir, Nazim Zai Khan, today visited Baramulla where he chaired an interactive session with the industrial units holders besides taking an appraisal of their functioning.

General Manager District Industries Centre Baramulla, Industrialists of the district among some office bearers of Industrial Estates were present on the occassion.

A threadbare discussion pertaining to the development of Industrial Estates of the district on thoroughly held during which the General Manager briefed the director that the projects for development of Industrial Estates were taken up under languishing projects by SICOP. The unit holders highlighted their issues and grievances pertaining to overall development of their units and the society at large.

The Director assured the unit holders that the matter of langushing projects will be taken up with the higher authorities for their completion within the stipulated time and assured the unit holders that their grievances will be completed in a shortest possible time.

While terming DIC as a bridge between the government and entrepreneurs, the Director asked general manager to provide hand holding to the unit holders. The unit holders were also encouraged to register on GeM portal for online purchasing by government departments.
