“Illegal promotion in lieu of bribe”: Dir FCS&CA rebuts news

SRINAGAR: Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department Kashmir rebutted the news item circulated in the WhatsApp group of CNS where allegations regarding “illegal promotion in lieu of bribe has been made in the FCS&CA department”.

He said: “The news is totally fake as the in the recently conducted DPC 40 to 50 employees were promoted strictly as per recruitment rules (1975 amended in 1999) of the department. Besides, 50-60 employees were given time bound (in-situ) promotion strictly as per the rules.”

“Some employees of the department who are associated with some self-styled graduate employees Association and other associations want themselves to be promoted in violation of recruitment rules of the department,” the Director said.

He said that their demands are not in consonance with the departmental requirement rules. “It is out of frustration that such baseless allegations are made against the department.”

He further said that necessary actions as per the law shall be taken against persons who have uploaded the fake news.
