Schools warned against using LPG kits in student transport vehicles

Srinagar: Traffic Police Srinagar on Tuesday warned school authorities for using LPG kits in the vehicles ferrying students saying it could endanger the lives of the kids.

As per an advisory by SSP Traffic City Srinagar in this regard, some operators are using the LPG kits in the buses and vans as an alternative to petrol and diesel.

Besides endangering the lives of the school-going children, the tactic also amounts to violation of Motor Vehicles Act, it said while warning that the erring vehicles shall be seized.

The Traffic Police advisory asked parents, administration at respective schools and bus operators to ensure that no such violation takes place.
