SHA held consultation with private hospitals on AB-PMJAY SEHAT Scheme

SRINAGAR: The State Health Agency (SHA), J&K today held a workshop with the registered private hospitals of Kashmir for the empanelment under AB-PMJAY-SEHAT.

The scheme in convergence with Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) provides Health Insurance Cover of Rs.5lakh/family/year to all the residents of UT of Jammu and Kashmir including serving and retired employees.

The Detailed deliberations were held with private health care providers regarding their empanelment during a meeting chaired by CEO SHA, Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin.

He urged the representatives of hospitals to come forward and join this scheme and assured the participants that SHA, J&K shall provide all possible assistance/facilitation during and after the empanelment.

Notably, more than 30 non-empanelled private health-care providers participated in the workshop.

The government of Jammu and Kashmir recently launched SEHAT Scheme to cover around 15lakh households, not covered under AB-PMJAY. The same benefits as existing under AB-PMJAY shall be extended to the rest of the residents.
