He will represent India for the 123th time in World Skiing Championship.

Khan who hails from Baramulla district has been representing India at national and as well as international level in skiing. He was selected in Indian National Skiing team in 2005.

Khan started his skiing journey in 1994 and has won Gold multiple times in South Asian Games. He has also won the Slalom title at the South Asian Winter Games. Khan represented India, for the first time, in World Skiing Championship in 2013.

He has participated in World Ski Championship in USA, Asian Games and FIS races. He continues to be the National Ski Champion in India from last twelve years.

Khan says that he want skiing to be perceived in India as a significant sport. “I have participated in skiing championships in around 45 countries and the skiing infrastructure in those countries is exceptionally good but here in Kashmir we lack basic facilities like good slopes and equipments,” he says.

Khan is excitingly looking forward to participate in the upcoming Winter Olympics, to be held in china in 2022, and is trying hard to make it to the event.
