Srinagar: The undergraduate sixth semester students, batch 2017, claimed on Friday that their Statistics and Probability paper was “out of syllabus”.

They demanded that relaxation in marking or re-examination of the said paper.

“We were totally surprised to find the paper out of syllabus and could not even manage to score the passing marks,” said a student of Government Degree College Baramulla, Mohammad Maqbool Sheikh.

Kashmir Images received calls from students who also demanded relaxation in marking.

“The question paper was numerical type and it was impossible to solve the same within 30 minutes, besides calculator was not allowed and no rough space was available on the paper,” said Sheikh Nasir, a student of GDC Ganderbal

Controller Examination Kashmir University, Prof. Irshad Ahmad Nawchoo said, “The students should register their grievances with the varsity authorities so that we can look into the matter.”
