Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj delegation calls on Advisor Farooq Khan

JAMMU: A delegation of Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj today called on Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan and presented a photo album of sports carnival organized by Global Solace NGO at Jagti besides submitting a memorandum of their issues.

The delegation was comprised of Convener Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj and Patron Global Solace, Kiran Wattal, President Global Solace, Pintoo Ji, Sahil Pandita, President, Athletes of Jagti (Sports Wing of Global Solace and VKS) and Ajay Kumar Bhat.

The delegation expressed gratitude to Advisor for attending the valedictory ceremony of the sports carnival and encouraging the participants.

Advisor lauded efforts of the community and civil society groups like Global Solace and Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj for organizing a week long sports event for migrant children of Jagti Township and expressed confidence that such activities shall certainly infuse positive outlook among the younger generation.

Advisor said that the UT administration is committed to provide best avenues and infrastructure to sportspersons so as to channelize their energy towards a positive direction. He also assured full support in organizing more sports activities for migrant children.
