LG Sinha chairs first Unified High Command meet

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, today reportedly chaired the first ever Unified High Command (UHC) meeting in Jammu ever since he assumed the charge of LG in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT).

A local news agency reported that the meeting was held to review the security scenario in the region as officers of all security agencies were present and briefed the LG about the prevailing security conditions in the UT. The meeting also discussed a summer strategy vis-à-vis security, the report said.

LG chaired the meeting of UHC at Jammu where in all officers of police, army, CRPF, BSF and Intelligence were present. The meeting, according to the report, discussed various aspects of security situation in Kashmir, status of infiltration on LoC, operational preparedness of forces besides data pertaining to anti-militancy operations as well as law and order scenario.
