Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday condoled the demise of senior party leader and former minister Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan, who died after a brief illness.
“Rafiq Sahab was a renowned political personality across Pir Panchal region who devoted his entire life towards the upliftment of the people of the region,” Mehbooba said in a statement issued to Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
Recalling his close association with Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the PDP President said “Rafiq Khan Sahab was a close associate of Mufti Sahab and was instrumental in strengthening the party across the region.”
Leaders who condoled the demise and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul include the party Vice President A R Veeri, and General Secretary G N Lone Hanjura.
