Dr Farooq, Omar Abdullah greet people on 354th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President, Member of Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah on Tuesday  greeted  the people in general and Sikh community in particular on the 354th birth anniversary of  Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.

The party president and vice president in their message on the occasion said that such festivals and observances are emblematic of the pluralistic visage of Jammu and Kashmir. They prayed that the day increases the prospects of peace and prospects in Jammu and Kashmir and the country in general.

“The message of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Mahraj was that of peace and universal brotherhood. He preached the people to purge the vice and other social evils. On this day we pay our tributes to Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and hope that the day strengthens the bond of brotherhood and camaraderie,” the duo said while greeting the people.

Meanwhile Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Nasir Aslam Wani, party Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, District President Baramulla Javed Dar, Minority wing Organizer JS Azad have also extended warm greetings to the people on the annual birth anniversary of Shri Gobind Singh Ji Mahraj.
