Director Srinagar airport says all onboard passengers shifted to another aircraft
Srinagar: An Indigo aircraft had a narrow escape at the Srinagar international airport on Wednesday after it came in close proximity of accumulated snow when the flight was about to takeoff.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the aircraft was about to takeoff to Delhi from Srinagar airport when it came in close proximity of accumulated snow.
Director Srinagar Airport, Santosh Dhoke told KNO that the engine of the aircraft had come in close proximity of the accumulated snow, and the ground staff immediately stopped the aircraft.
He said that as a safety measure the aircraft has been kept at bay.
“All the passengers on board were shifted to another aircraft and a team from Delhi will do the necessary check of the aircraft before making it ready for takeoff,” he said.
He also said that all the flight operations are going on smoothly at the Srinagar airport.
