GoI needs to show firm political will to make J&K similar to other States: Altaf Bukhari
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

JAMMU: Apni Party President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari today said that political parties in Peoples’ Alliance for Gupkar Declaration have been finding ways to get rid of each other following District Development Council elections in J&K.

Altaf Bukhari was speaking here at the Apni Party function organized to welcome newcomers in the party. Retired Deputy Director, Indian System Medicine (ISM), Dr Rohit Gupta joined Apni Party in presence of Altaf Bukhari and other senior leaders, a party spokesman said.

Anil Bhat, Parvinder Lohra, Shakti Dutta, Anil Kohli, Ashu Shan, Randeep Singh and others also joined the Party, he said.

The spokesman said that while welcoming them into the party, Bukhari said that truth has come to fore post DDC elections while referring to the political parties in PAGD.

“The PAGD leaders have been finding ways to get rid from each other after the DDC elections. They had created a smoky screen before the public to mislead them but they have exposed themselves,” Bukhari said.

He said that the political parties who had joined hands in PAGD have failed to keep up their promises made with the people in DDC elections.

“They have misled the people and now they are not able to fulfill their promises. To avoid embarrassing situations, they are hiding from the people,” he added.

On the contrary, he said, the Apni Party contested elections on the name of development, restoration of statehood, employment, protection of land and jobs for locals in J&K.

“We never played divisive politics. We want unity of J&K and brotherhood among the community for a prosperous society,” said Bukhari.

The spokesman said that several delegations from across Jammu Region also called on Altaf Bukhari at the Party Office and they discussed various issues being faced by them. Among these deputations include people from Wadwan in Kishtwar District, Party leaders from Rajouri district, youth deputations and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Senior Vice President, Apni Party, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that the Apni Party has gained support at every corner of J&K.

“Jammu being deceived by the political parties in past needs an unbiased leadership for the better political future,” Mir said and hoped that Apni Party will play an important role in shaping future of the people in Jammu by providing them employment opportunities, development and a quality education system.

On this occasion, Vice President Choudhary Zulfikar Ali, Ex-MLC and General Secretary Vijay Bakaya, General Secretary Vikram Malhotra besides other leaders were present.
