CIIIT GPC Bla enters into MoU with IUST Awantipora

BARAMULLA: Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT), Government Polytechnic College, Baramulla, under the Directorate of Skill Development, J&K today entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora.

The aim of this MoU is up-skilling the undergraduate and diploma students of IUST for providing them high end practical oriented training, leading to their higher employability besides to promote the culture of innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship among the students, that will eventually lead to the development of new products and technologies in the UT of J&K.

The event was an outcome of the understanding reached out between Prof. Mushtaq A. Siddiqi, Vice-Chancellor Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora and Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon (I.A.S.) Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department, Govt. of J&K.

The Agreement was signed in the presence of Sajad Hussain Ganai, Director, Skill Development Department, Govt. of J&K, and Prof. Mushtaq A. Siddiqi,  Vice-Chancellor IUST, Prof Naseer Iqbal, Registrar IUST, and Er. Pervaiz Bhat H.O.D, Govt. Polytechnic College, Baramulla.

Pertinently, Government Polytechnic College, Baramulla, has established a Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation, and Training (CIIIT) in collaboration with Tata Technologies Ltd. Pune, for providing integrated training on technical and skill development and other disruptive technologies conforming to industry 4.0.
