Advisor Bhatnagar takes stock of medical supplies, other health measures in Kashmir

JAMMU: As part of strengthening grievances redressal mechanism, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, today met scores of delegations and individuals during the public outreach programme held at Civil Secretariat.

The delegations and individuals apprised the Advisor of their issues and demands seeking an early resolution for the same.

A deputation of J&K ITI Employees United Front raised several issues related to their services and career progression. They demanded early implementation of recommendations of DGT, Union Ministry of Skill Development besides change in nomenclature of posts of Vocational Instructor and Group Instructor. They also demanded a quota of 10% for the ITI pass outs as apprentices in ongoing major development projects in the UT.

Another delegation of residents of Arnia demanded issuance of category certificates for economically and socially backward residents of the area besides removal of some clauses for obtaining certificates under IB category.

Similarly, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir School Education Officers Association demanded confirmation of their services as headmasters, removal of pay anomalies and non vacation status to the headmaster cadre. They also demanded continuity of 20% quota of ZEOs as Principals and restoration of ZEO charge to headmasters.

A deputation of Government Service Assistants working in R&B department demanded sanction of benefits like DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per 7th Pay Commission.

Another deputation of In-charge Principals of School Education department demanded early regularisation on the posts besides other service benefits.

Similarly, delegations of All India Tourist Bus Operators Association, Jammu and Kashmir Casual Labours United Front and others raised several issues with the Advisor and demanded early resolution for the same.

Besides, several individuals from Reasi, Rajouri, Darhal, Poonch, Marh and other areas raised several issues with the Advisor and sought immediate redressal of the same.

Advisor, while responding to the issues and concerns of delegations and individuals, assured them that all of their genuine issues and demands will be redressed on priority.
