Political activists from Karnah join Peoples Conference

Srinagar: Abdul Rashid Bhat, ex Tehsildar and a prominent political activist from Karnah joined J&K Peoples Conference along with more than twenty five noted political workers from the region.

The joining took place at the party headquarters in presence of the Chairman Sajad Lone.

A party spokesman in a statement said that welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, PC Chairman Sajad Lone expressed hope that their inclusion will further help the party to reach out to the people of Karnah, serve them and work for their betterment to the best possible extent.

The spokesman said that Abdul Rashid Bhat expressed his pleasure on joining the Peoples Conference and pledged to work for serving the people as per policies of the party.

“The people of Karnah have a long association with the Peoples Conference and its leadership. The party’s excellent performance in the recently concluded DDC elections has demonstrated the widespread acceptance of its leadership among the masses. I have no doubt that the Peoples Conference will emerge as the strongest voice of the people of Karnah,” the spokesman quoted Bhat as saying.

Those who joined the party alon with Bhat include Mohammad Ashraf Baba, Mufti Mohammad Lukman, Mohammad Akbar Mir, Ghulam Qadir Shiekh, Ravees Ahmad Shiekh, Shafeeq Ahmad Mughal, Bilal Hussain Shah, Sajad Ahmad Mughal, Khalid Khursheed Mir, Ansar Mir, Imtiyaz Rashid Bhat, Basharat Ahmad, Amjad Ahmad, Khursheed Ahmad Mir, Nazir Ahmad, Mohammad Haroon Mir, Saleem Mir, Mumtaz Ahmad Bhat, Shafeeq Ahmad and Bilal Ahmad Dar.

Also present at the meeting were Constituency Head Captain Mohammad Hussain, Vice constituency head Mohammad Shafi Lone and Mohammad Khursheed Lone, added the spokesman.
