Bandipora: A CRPF jawan was injured when a sentry posted at Papchan CRPF camp in north kashmir’s Bandipora district opened fire after observing some ‘suspicious movement’ around the camp Tuesday late evening.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the CRPF sentry fired some aerial shots after he observed some suspicious activity outside the camp and in the process a jawan got injured

He said that the injured jawan was rushed to district hospital Bandipora for treatment from he was being shifted to Srinagar for advanced treatment.

Meanwhile, a senior police official confirmed that a CRPF jawan was injured, however, circumstances under which this happened is being verified—(KNO)
