Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference’s Kargil unit functionaries have congratulated Dr. Farooq Abdullah led PAGD for its resounding victory in the DDC polls, saying the victory marks the triumph of truth over falsehood.

The functionaries including Qamar Ali Akhoon, Haji Haneefa Jan and others said the despite all the odds, Dr. Farooq Abdullah led PAGD’s success in the DDC polls reveals the concurrence of the people of J&K to the agenda of PAGD. They said the people of J&K have democratically and peacefully shown their rejection of the August 5 measures, and that the ball, they said was in the court of GOI to respect the verdict keeping up with the democratic traditions of the country. They said the people on the other side of Zojilla Tunnel also support Dr. Farooq Abdullah led PAGDs efforts to restore the constitutional position and integrity of J&K, which was spitefully rescinded on the 5th of August 2019.  They said the people of Kargil and Leh have been at the receiving on account of the GOI policy on J&k and that restoring pre 5 August 2019 status is the only way by which the entire region could be put back on the track of peace, development and prosperity.
