Srinagar: A 20-year-old scooty rider was killed on Saturday in a road accident near Qamaria Ground in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Quoting officials, news agency KNO reported that Faizan Ahmad Para, son of Shamim Ahmad Para, a resident of Beehama, was critically injured when a speedy tipper hit him near Qamaria Ground today afternoon.

He said that Faizan was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The official further said that police have taken cognisance of the matter and further investigation has been taken up.
