Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 249 fresh COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the infection count to 1,19,877, while six fatalities in the last 24 hours raised the death toll to 1,867 in the Union Territory, officials said.

Of the fresh cases, 123 were from Kashmir and 126 were from the Jammu Division, they said.

The officials said Jammu recorded a maximum of 96 new cases of the novel coronavirus, followed by 49 in Srinagar district.

The number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 3,288 in the UT, while 1,14,722 patients have recovered so far from the infection, the officials said.

Four of the new deaths linked to the infection were from the Jammu division and two from Kashmir, they said.

Providing district-wise breakup, the officials said that Srinagar has 25045 positive cases (including 49cases reported today) with 556 Active Positive, 24044 recovered (including87 cases recovered today), 445 deaths; Baramulla has 7904 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 139 Active Positive, 7594 recovered (including 21 cases recovered today), 171deaths; Pulwama reported 5498 positive cases (including 09 case reported today) with 188 active positive cases, 5222 recovered (including 08 cases recovered today), 88 deaths; Kulgam has 2655 positive cases (including 04 case reported today) with 70 Active Positive, 2532 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 53 deaths; Shopian has 2483 positive cases (including 10 case reported today) with 99 Active Positive, 2347 recovered and 37 deaths; Anantnag district has 4762positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 109 Active Positive, 4570 recovered (including 03cases recovered today), 83 deaths;  Budgam has 7540 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 179 Active Positive and 7524 recovered (including 28 cases recovered today), 107 deaths; Kupwara has 5495 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 141 Active Positive, 5264 recovered (including 11cases recovered today), 90 deaths; Bandipora has 4626 positive cases with 75 Active Positive, 4491 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 60 deaths and Ganderbal has 4452 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 110 active positive cases, 4299recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today) and 43 deaths.

In Jammu division, officials said, Jammu district has 23435positive cases (including 96 cases reported today) with 847 active positive cases, 22236 recoveries (including 95 cases recovered today), 352 deaths; Rajouri has 3819 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 210 active positive cases, 3555 recovered (including 12 cases recovered today), 54 deaths; Ramban has 2092 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 28active positive, 2043 recoveriesand 21 deaths; Kathua has 3148 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 58 Active positive, 3042 recovered (including 17 cases recovered today), 48 deaths; Udhampur has 4064 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 80 active positive cases, 3927 recovered (including 18 cases recovered today) and 57 deaths; Samba has 2713 positive caseswith 213 Active Positive, 2462 recoveries (including 33 cases recovered today)and 38 deaths; Doda has 3372 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 78 active positive cases, 3232 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 62 deaths; Poonch has 2439 positive cases (including 01case reported today) with 25 active positive, 2391 recoveriesand 23 deaths; Reasi has 1621 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 48 active positive, 1559recoveries  and 14 deaths while Kishtwar has 2714 positive cases with 35 active positive cases and 2658 recoveries and 21 deaths
