Asks militants to leave gun and hold pen

Bijbehera: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) National Spokesman and former union minister, Shahnawaz Hussain Thursday taunted former ally and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti over her ‘holding of tri-colour’ remark.

Addressing a poll rally at Bijbehara, Mufti’s home town, Hussain said that today’s rally was an eye-opener for those who used to claim that no one would hold tri-colour in their hands.

“It is not only me but everyone here is holding the tri-coloue,” he said.

Asking militants to shun gun and pick up pens, Hussaid said that whosoever gets killed, be it a policeman, CRPF man, army man or a militant, every killings gives pain.

“I ask misguided youth to leave gun and hold pen in your hands,” the former BJP minister said in an oblivious reference to the militants.

While talking to media persons about the grenade attack in Bijbehara, he said that attacks won’t deter them from meeting people of Jammu and Kashmir and taking the democracy to the grassroots level.

“We are PM Narendera Modi’s Army and I am here as Modiji’s solider. These grenades and bullets won’t deter us from carrying out our political activities,” he said.
