Massive enrolment drive in zone Tangmarg draws hundreds of students to government schools

Tangmarg: In a first of its sorts, Department of education including ZRP’s, CRC’s, teachers and officials of Zonal Educational Office, Tangmarg, conducted door-to-door admission process drawings hundreds of student to government schools.
Led by the ZEO, Tangmarg, Abdul Aziz Khan, the team initiated a door to door admission process meeting parents of students and creating awareness regarding the multifaceted government school specialities and better infrastructure as well as better trained and qualified teaching staff. With the result, as many as 1200 students went for an on the spot admission to various government schools. Seen as a revolutionary measure, the programme, according to the officials, is intended to create greater awareness among the masses regarding various facilities made available by the government in schools.
“About 1200 children were admitted in govt schools in just two weeks,” said one of the office adding that the continued and sustained efforts shall bring more children into the fold of government schools.
“Govt is taking various measures for children including free admissions, free text books, free bags besides nunneries other schemes including MDM. It is for the masses to chose,” said another member of the team.
